Rare Bird Takes Flight After Rehabilitating at Green Chimneys

First discovered by a young Pawling resident who spotted the eagle as it hit a neighbor's roof one cold February day, Green Chimneys Wildlife Specialist Paul Kupchok was called to rescue the Golden Eagle. Initially under the care of Brewster vet Dr. Wilson, the Golden Eagle soon spent the rest of his recuperation at Green Chimneys. For his safety, the Golden Eagle was released in a private ceremony in the fields of the Akindale Thoroughbred Rescue in Pawling, NY, not far from his initial decent from the sky more than 3 months prior.
